"I was so sorry to hear that the postponed renovation is again postponed. Nevertheless I enjoyed my 3-day stay in the lodge (last time I stayed here was in 1981). A wonderful base for hiking the basin trails, taking in the beautiful sunsets, and equally as impressive moon-risings. With the lodge restaurant closed, I brought my own food which worked out well. Lots of signs asking for water conservation because of the water system. However, my room had an old..."

Real reviews from guests
"Amazing Stay! Amazing Staff! The location in the middle of Big Bend National Park was perfect. We saw roadrunner and deer on the property! Plus staying in the park allowed easier access to trails, hot springs and star gazing. Rooms are rustic and "outdated". Felt like staying off the grid and that is what my intended goal is. (And people planning to visit Big Bend should have that goal as well. Don't expect reliable cell service here.) Will definitely stay..."
"This property is dated and due to be renovated. The cabins overall are comfortable and located in the middle of big bend making location the key selling point. I hope they get the renovations completed and I will return when that happens. Cell service was spotty. Idk if there is laundry facilities but it was be a nice addition. A full fridge would also be amazing. Absolute best star gazing!!!"
"Chisos Mountain Lodge offers an unbeatable location that makes the stay truly worthwhile. While the main lodge and restaurant are currently closed, the store remains well stocked and provides everything you might need, including extra towels, coffee, and other essentials. There is no daily housekeeping service, but guests can easily pick up any needed items from the store. The staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms include the key amenities I required for a comfortable stay—refrigerator, microwave, air..."
"Best location for trying to stack multiple park experiences in a short time. The buildings are certainly older but only the bathroom felt like it was in disrepair. The beds were comfortable, but we skipped sunset on our private deck after discovering wasps that refused to leave."
